It is a necessity to be able to thrive in culturally diverse communities. Stylists must obtain education in areas they may be weak in and change the narrative, perception, and negative connotations pertaining to textured or curly hair.In this hands-on session, Keya will guide you through basic texture styling techniques along with product options for specific results. You will leave this workshop knowing how to perform specific techniques that will help you acquire a more diverse clientele and boost your profits. It’s about texture. Not Race. 
A mannequin head will be provided for you to practice on during the workshop, and you can take the mannequin head home with you!
 
 Students must bring: wide tooth comb, wet brush, 2 towels, clips, blow dryer, diffuser, shears and gloves.

Workshop price: $225 before 5/3, $250 after. Fee includes a one-day exhibit hall ticket.
